Tahoe: It’s Flippin’ Fantastic

Kellen Walker

Being located at Placer High School provides us with many opportunities to work along side the students and watch their potential grow into true talent. One such student that I’ve have the pleasure of knowing is Kellen Walker. He took one semester of the Video Production ROP class and fell into the video field head first. After the class had ended, he continued to regularly crew on ACTV produced shows. Realizing his passion, he has gone on to produce some rather epic videos. He is currently working on a video for his Senior Project, entitled, “Tahoe: It’s Flippin’ Fantastic.” Kellen will be in the studio today filming the interview portion of his documentary. He will be interviewing Colton Davenport and Jacob Peak, both of whom are part of the Auburn Ski Club. Kellen has granted ACTV permission to air his Video once completed. So stay tuned! But you can watch the trailer now!

The Argonauts – Robotics Team

I had a great time filming the The Argonauts – Robotics Team premier television show. They did AWESOME! They had a full script with camera and mic changes noted. Very technical stuff. They even had guest speakers. An FLL robotics team called Bebo. Great interview! I even had a special helper, 8 year old Jenna. Thanks Jenna! I couldn’t have done it with out you!

Tune in to channel 20 on Wave Broadband in Auburn, CA at 8:00pm all week to see The Argonauts – Robotics Team

Proud to be training The Argonauts Robotics Team

ACTV is proud to welcome 5 new members, Andrew, Melody, Jessica, E.J., and Faith, to the world of television production. The Argonauts Robotics team, consisting of 5 high school age students, from various schools, are now attending ACTV’s Directors Classes. Part of their training for their Robotics Program is to reach out to the community and learn some new skills. They chose ACTV, television production, as their project. And I gotta tell ya these kids are very bright! They have been able to assist me in filming three live-to-tape television shows just this week!

They will soon be producing their own program. They will bring the content, the talent, and even do the producing!

First Day of Training

I personally can’t wait to see what they come up with.

Any one can produce their own show and receive training on cameras, sound mixing, live-editing, and directing through the classes offered here at ACTV.
