Cakes, Flowers & Fun

Every week Loyce Smallwood surprises & delights with her bouquet of colorful guests. Loyce invites local merchants, artists, and artisans to join her for fun & frivolity at ACTV’s studio. Located in Placer High School in room 408 the tv studio hosts shows most weekdays afternoons or early evening. We welcome visitors any time but call to make sure we are here first. Call us at (530)887-8778

During recent weeks, flower artist Lisa Baehr of Auburn Florist, along with Cathy Bianchi of Gimmie Cake Too! and Betty Thompson of Gold Rush Tea Emporium shared their delicious and delightful wares with us all. Artist and teacher Juan Pena and Jerry Kopp our local sign maker, entertained us last week with their humorous banter, making it easy to understand why the folks in Auburn are so pleased to shop at their stores. Everybody had a smile on the day they visited!

Thank you to all the wonderful guests and of course to Loyce, who frequents local businesses and shares her good experiences.

About Paula

ACTV is a nonprofit corporation, which operates channels 19, 20 and 21 on the Starstream cable system. We reach more than 7,000 households in the Auburn area. As a public access or PEG channel, we are chartered to provide Public, Education and Government access via the cable charter of the Town of Auburn. Our most popular purpose is to empower Auburn area individuals, organizations and groups to imagine, create and produce their own television programs. We're here to provide you and your neighbors a place (our studio and editing facilities) and the means (our camera equipment and editing systems) to create locally produced television content (your ideas and interests) to share with the rest of the community and outlying regions.
