Gold Country playwright Bud Buczkowske personally knew the famous boxer Ezzard Charles. He has written “The Quiet Champion” as a tribute to his old friend. Bud appeared on Loyce Smallwood’s illustrious program “Connections” last week. Bonnie Gibson made her successful debut as Guest Host and chatted with both Bud and the man who plays Ezzard, actor Brian Price.
This week, Thursday to be precise, Brian Price will read the entire play; making a special guest appearance at the ACTV studios. Please come and be a member of the audience if you are so inclined. Recording around 4:00pm. Please enter quietly after that time.
This is Bill Mael, he is the producer of a musical talent show called Making Music, which is recorded live here at our very own studio in Auburn at Placer High School. His show was created to help showcase the local talent in our area.
